Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for teachers is a lifelong, planned process where educators enhance their skills, knowledge, and practice to improve their teaching and overall effectiveness. It’s crucial for teachers to stay updated with new research, teaching strategies, and best practices in their field, ultimately benefiting student learning outcomes.
As part of the CBSE’s Annual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) mandate, all teachers in the school undergo a minimum of 50 hours of training per year – 25 hours through CBSE or Government Regional Training Institutes and 25 hours through in-house or School Complex-based training.
Continuous professional development (CPD) approach in the field of teacher education, recommended under the National Education Policy 2020, provides opportunities to teachers to adapt to the changing world in order to achieve expected learning outcomes of learners.
